Genoa open and biting

Post by wingding »

Got up to Genoa Fri afternoon and the perch fishing was hot. No eyes or sauger where I was fishing but big rings. Think they are ready to spaw from the looks of their soft mushy eggs. Sat got a different bite. 16 and a 20 incher eye---1sauger and 3 more perch in the same spot. 15 ft. of water. Good ramp conditions and open water down to desoto bay. Lots of ice fishing in back waters. Saw some cars out on the ice. So hope our tourny week end will be a great bite and big bags coming to the scale. Can't wait . Jim D.
