I have some extra time before Adam and I head out to drown our sorrows and prime the pump for tomorrows tournament. So don't start to expect same day tournament reports (Terry). We had 21 boats fish the Cedar Valley Walleye Club Storm Lake Tournament and 14 fish were brought to the scales. The prefish bite was tough for most teams, but things changed on tournament day.
Here are the results! For 5th place with 1 fish for 0.96 lbs was the team of Bill "Who Needs Haflen" Mason and Adam "Haflen Who?" Mason from Storm Lake. Finishing in 4th place with 1 fish for 1.02 lbs was the team of Walter "I Love Storm Lake" Ertz and Jim "We Miss Tony" Dengler. For 3rd place with 1 fish for 1.08 lbs was the team of Doug "Kourtney Nets Better Than Greg" Bonwell and Kourtney "This Tournament Fishing is Real Fun" Craig (Doug's Daughter). Finishing in 2nd place with 2 fish for 1.82 lbs was the team of Bob "We Have The Judge" Henderson and Matt "I Told You it Was 15 Inches" Johanes from the Iowa Great Lakes area. And with an impressive 5 fish limit weighing 5.02 lbs during a tough bite was the team of Mathew "This Tournament Fishing is Easy" Rauk and Brandon "Making Last Call the Night Before the Tournament Does Help the Fish Bite" Johnson from the Forest City area. The big fish pot was equally split between the teams of Bonwell/Craig & Rauk/Johnson each with a 1.08 pounder for $190 each. The club's take for this tournament was $831 including 19 new members. Congrats to all the top finishing teams and thanks to all the teams for supporting the Cedar Valley Walleye Club and we hope to see you all next year!

2012 STORM LAKE TOURNAMENT REPORT
Re: 2012 STORM LAKE TOURNAMENT REPORT
Thanks Kyle for another well run tournament. I personally had the time of my life with my daughter fishing with me. I never thought it would mean that much, but to have her in the boat with me and the time spent together over the last couple of days ment so much. There's a country song that has words in it that says, "We ain't just fishin" it couldn't of said it any better.
Courtney is now hoping to fish the Clear Lake tournament. She would also like to request if it's not to much to ask, Sun, Warm Weather, Clean Water and Hot bite.
Thanks again to Kyle, Adam, Terry and the tournament board.
