Just to let all of you know that ol "WALLEYES1" is batling a major eye problem now. Randy had a blurry spot and come to find out it was a thorn retina. He had surgey last week and had a bubble put in place. this is an update from his wife today.
Sorry for not getting back to you, but he has been seeing the doctor every day as there is a blood pool in his eye that prevents the doctor from seeing how well the retina is healing. We are doing eye drops every two hours 24/7. NO SLEEP! Randy sees the doctor again on Sat. morning to keep monitoring the situation. It looks like they will operate again on Monday afternoon to do an eye wash. They will make cuts on both sides of his iris and wash fluid through his eye to get the blood out so they can tell what is going on. The doctor believes the retina is healing but can't be sure until he does this and determines where the blood came from. I can't believe I can type this as I can't keep my eyes open. I am working here and there. My sister and our neighbor are helping out with the eye drop regimen when I am at work. Hopefully the removal of the blood will make all things clear and we can just get the healing done. He will still have at least one more surgery in a week or two to remove the the fluid bubble that is pressing on the retina.
I will try to keep you up-to-date after the surgery on Monday.
