First Ice

Spent the day today on a good 4" of ice at Hendrichs Lake. Caught many fish crappie and gills.Kept 13 gills to eat. I never caught any craps big enough but a guy by me said he had a 12 incher. Be prepared to loose a jig or 2 on big bass. There is no way to handle them on 2lb line. One monster run and you're done. There was 3" of snow on the ground and it's like another world. -3 deg this morn,up there. RH
