Eyes already travel back and forth between the lake and the river. Over half the eyes I catch in Brinker don't have any brand at all, meaning they came from DNR stocking of the river. Here's the real mystery, how did one of our branded walleyes get above the CF dam. I believe this fish was caught before we ever stocked Big Woods, so that theory is out the window. . . . . . . . .
I'm not a fan of the linkage, but I don't think it will affect the fishing one way or the other.

About the branded fish above CF dam -- We had a major flood in 2008 so fish can be all over the place. I would'nt be surprised if we find them in the West Fork and Shell Rock systems, or any other tributaries of the Cedar River.

Ya know---I fish the mississippi a lot and for some reason every eye I catch I look for a CVWC brand on it's side? Don't know why but the club might be helping all of the water ways with our stocking. Hey who knows--------Bonwell might win a MTC with our brand on it. GO DOUG @GREG!

OK new mystery. How does a muskie get in the Shellrock?????
Re: Walleyes Stocked in Cedar River by CVWC
Muskies can get into the Shell Rock from the outlet of Clear Lake. The outlet of Clear Lake eventually leads to the Shell Rock.
