Went to the Deery Bros. Summer Series for late models race last night at Independence. 50 late models from mostly Iowa put on a show in front of a packed house of race fans, I mean packed. Point being a large share of these racers are from the the local area and I and any number of local people wonder what could have been if Waterloo could have a track..Just had to vent a little. Jeff Aikey from Cedar Falls took home the $5000 1st place purse. RH
