Well the first CVWC tournament on Pool 4 turned out to be a good one with a total of 46 fish coming to the scales! No 20 pound plus weights came to the scales, which some anglers thought would take to win the tournament. Of the 17 teams in the tournament, 8 teams caught a limit of fish. As far as CVWC standards, it was a great tournament! We had 17 boats and 34 anglers fish the tournament, 3 new members joined the club to fish, and the clubs overall take for the tournament was $355! For first place with one of the best weights for any CVWC tournament win, was the team of Mike Scarbrough and Randy Heiberger, with a five fish limit for 14.24 lbs. The most impressive thing about this weight was all five fish were sauger! Only on Pool 4 can you catch a limit of 3 lbs sauger! Great Job Guys!!! For second place, with another very good weight, was the team of Jim Allen and Jim Kolbliska, with a five fish limit for 13.16 lbs. Third place went to team of Trent Schneck and Brice Thompson, with a five fish limit for 9.68 lbs. Fourth place went to the team of Zach Bindert and Jason Eastman, for a five fish limit of 9.04 lbs. The Participation Drawing went to the team of Kyle Colbert and Adam Bentz. Make sure to attend the December club meeting to hear how the top teams caught their fish and the tournament board will be revealing the 2011 CVWC Tournament Schedule!
On a side note, I heard a rumor of five club members who stayed overnight after the tournament and one of the members was quoted early in the evening saying, "I can go for an hour!" The members mentioned in the rumor were Jimmy Oklahoma, Terry from Texas, Matt from Minneapolis, Carl from Kansas, and Darrell from D.C. Again this is just a rumor???
