Grundy County Lake Map

I got a start on mapping Grundy County Lake today. I will have an edited YouTube video in the future which will cover the entire process.

Water level from the end of the loading dock to the lake bottom was 68". Water visibility was around 5'. Lots of "structure" placed around the lake... I found some of it with my trolling motor Many... MANY Christmas? trees are scattered about within 20' of shore. Something to consider when navigating a boat on the lake. I (visually) saw several bass swimming near the shoreline, loads of painted turtles on the SW corner near a fallen tree, and marked tons of fish on electronics.

Good information Jordan! Thank you for your efforts.
We have stocked this body of water for at least the past 12 years, many of the fish have grown to 25+ inches and larger. Due to all the lake structure provides a challenging walleye fishery.

Awesome! I was pretty sure we had stocked it - I'll make sure to mention that in the video.

And yes... LOTS of structure, but I certainly saw some decent marks on my 2D and scope. When I get Side Imagining back on my Jon boat, I should have all of the structure marked out on waypoints as well. Might be a week or two before that happens (waiting on the dealership), but I'm eager to wrap this up. As time allows, I'll start working on getting the other area lakes mapped as well.
