The second 2024 Cedar Valley Walleye Club Tournament is in the books. 26 teams launched out of MacIntosh Park last Saturday facing overcast skies and windy conditions, the previous two days had SW wind speed of 20-30+mph. The lake was slightly stained with water temperature around 53 degrees. Fishing was slow for most anglers, especially compared to last year's event when record numbers of fish were scored. Only three teams managed to record the 5 fish limit. Walleyes again were caught in a variety of presentation, pitching jigs and blade baits, vertical jigging, slip bobbers with minnows and leeches and trolling crankbaits. 45 Walleye were caught and released weighing a total of 104.50lbs. Special thanks to Clear Lake Bait and Tackle who donated four $50.00 gift certificates!! The Gift certificates drawing winners were Boat 1 Terry VanLaningham/Al Dietz, Boat 2 Kyle Berger/Bud Jelinek, Boat 4 Carl Holten/Marty Stuefen, Boat 9 Peyton Groen and Luke Walker.
