Miss. River Thurs

Spent a day at Lansing 6/10 and caught 10 different species of fish which is not unique for the river. Trolling was tough not for floating grass but grass growing on the bottom everywhere down to 14'. If your lure hit the bottom you were fouled so we started casting wing dams and rocky shorelines and caught fish of all kinds. Finally we got a crappie bite going along a main channel shore and stuck with that and kept 12 huge crappie10-12". Friday we trout fished and got a limit of 10 trout on Sny Mcgill. RH

Great post walleye 1. I never got up there this week but love that area. Got some nice walleyes--biggest was 21 inch on wings down below #9. Matt's tournt is coming up and could be a big challenge as river will be high. Think I'll talk to my pard's wife Brenda and see if I can get a seat on the pontoon with the gals and try for the crappie bite.If nothing else Matt puts on a mean meal after weight in. YA ALL COME!!!!!!!!!!!! JD
