Achievement Award

I would like to thank the members of the Cedar Valley Walleye Club for
The lifetime achievement award. I think there were some members that
were much more deserving than myself.
I really enjoy working with the kids and our club members, when it’s not fun anymore I won’t do it.
There are much greater rewards for me.
1. Seeing a child with a great big smile on their face after catching a fish.
2. Helping a young girl clean her first fish and receiving very respectful thanks.
3. Watching parents and their children at the Sport and Boat Show getting a laugh out of the toy tractor, and the crazy Santa guy trying to sell them raffle tickets.
4. Helping a handicap child catch a fish and getting a big hug and a giant smile.
5. Fishing with club members and getting a hard time for not getting into a big fish pot.
6. The minnow races at the fun day were just as much fun for me as it was for the children. I even learned something about catching minnows.
I could go on and on and on but again thank you. Darrell Kinkade (SANTA)
