I value your guys input (even though sometimes I wonder why). I am buying some new trolling rods and currently I have 3 or 4 different kinds of reels. I want to get all the same type of reel on all rods. So when purchasing 6+ reels at a time I want to make sure I get good ones and not junk. So what is the best line counter trolling reel out there? And the best for lead core? Thanks in advance!!

Schimono Tekota the best.TEK300LC/Braid,TEK600LC/Mono,TEK600LC/Lead. I have a number of Daiwa Sealines, 27WLC and 47LC and they are very good. The Shimano has a little better drag and would be My choice if you wanted to chase some Salmon or Lake Trout. Stay away from anything less than the Daiwas. In the long run you won't be happy. HAPPY SHOPPING.

I do a lot of trolling and you don't have to spend big money to get a good reel, I've been running cabela's depth master reels for the last couple yrs with no problems. I prefer to run Mason lead core 18lb. sam

The Tekota's are very nice and very pricey. For me and the money the Diawa sealine 27c have been my preferred real of choice. My suggestion is to get all the same brands and sizes.

I currently us Diawa 27s for all of my mono and braided line trolling. This year I bought a couple of Abu Garcia Alphamars for leadcore. If you like diawas you can also use 47s for leadcore as the 27s can only fit 7 colors of lead.
