Unidentified water bug

Post by HookedUp1 »

OK, here's a challenge for you all. Identify this water bug.
The picture was taken in under a foot of water in Northern Mn. Lake. I have tried to identify the bug but to no answer yet. The bug's body is between 1-2 inches long and has six legs.
I'll buy a beer or soft drink at the next Club meeting to the 1st person to unwrap the mystery and post it here.

Walt,

From what I've read, it looks like an immature giant water bug.

Hey Old Fisheye here, :o :o :o :o :o

So it was a water bug under water....... :o :o :o :o .
That could fly if it was not under water........
and it could be a dragon if it was older,........ :o :o :o :o :o

Dave told me to say it.........was a Water bug that looked like a Dragon Fly....

I knew I was right the 1st time.

Old Fisheye, stretching to truth a little.
