Mille Lacs and Bellevue

I fished Mille Lac for the first time last Mon, Tues and Wed (AM). Stayed in Isle. Winds limited mobility the first two days. We primarily targeted Smallies on the southeast side from Big Point down to Isle Bay. Overall a decent trip. Caught several smallies including four 18" - 19". Also caught several walleye (two slot fish and the rest under) and two 29" pike. Had a challenge figuring out the AM bite - finally caught several 'eyes trolling cranks over 6'-9' reefs on the last morning. Best bite was from about 5:30pm 'til dark. We did not target depths over about 12'. 90% of the fish were caught on 3 inch twisters in 6'-8' of water on the rocks.

Friday we fished wingdams below Bellevue. Ended up with a mixed bag - several walleye (including 7 keepers), several bass, a few drum and one channel cat. The bite was best in the morning until about 1pm and then slowed down. Both cranks and 3 inch twisters were working. We were off the water by 5:30pm so I do not know if the evening bite picked up again.

Hey Old Fisheye Here, :D :D :D :D :D

You might want to send "Walleye Carl" pictures so he knows what those walleyes
look like.

He took Milo fishing on the Cedar this week and milo caught 7 walleyes. :D :D :D :D

Walleye Carl-------ZIP-ZIP-ZIP :o :o :o :o :o
He claimed his job was to guide Milo around and put him on the fish....

Some fisherman just can't handle the pressure.

Hey Old Fisheye, Just shaking the bucket.
