We fished on 3" of ice today at Lake Hendricks. We opened it up as know one else had been there. A few local guys finally walked out and could not believe it. They said it had been 20 yrs since anyone ice fished there before Thanksgiving. We caught a lot of panfish up to a hundred with the biggest gills 8" and crappie 9-10". We let them all go, just happy to get out in 8 deg weather. RH

I hear around 5 in of ice at Bemidji Mn. ATV'S Running safely and the 'Eyes are biting.

you are correct Big Al, about the ice fishing at Bemidji. I'm up on Lake Ada just north of Nisswa. ATV's & fishing shacks have been going out onto the ice since Wednesday. No snow up here just cold and windy
