Here's little tip Matt V. showed me and has become my desired way of storing spinner baits. Cut a 5' nerf tube to desired length, cut a 1/4 inch slit the length of the tube. I store mine in 1.5 gallon baggie. Made to fit 3 of them.

Yep, works well, been doing this since I don't know when. However I see you take your spinner blades off - I leave mine on.
BTW hot water pipe insulation works OK too - smaller diameter - but not as ridgid as pool floats ;)
