"WILD BUNCH" LOW TRIP Countdown Begins

Post by HookedUp1 »

Yes, you have read that right! Countdown is starting for the "Wild Bunch" LOW Trip - T-30 days and counting ;) :D

We have 15 of the Wildest --- I mean "friendliest" dedicated walleye fishermen in the Cedar Valley Walleye Club participating this year 8-) :D

We'll have daily big fish and dice contest. We may have best uniform of the day contest. However, you'll have to get up pretty early in the morning to outdo "Fisheye News Guy". From prior trips I know he plans his wardrobe at least a year in advance and searches all over the county for that one-of-a-kind fashion look :o :o ---Oh by the way I understand that Fisheye was looking for matching outfits for himself and Harvey   - Just an advanced warning JR

I am thinking about a new one day event called "The gun, run, fun" event where we all caravan to 9 footer, anchor and fish for and hour. Then run to 12 footer and fish for an hour. The one who catches the combined total biggest fish of two walleye or sauger, receives a "Run and Gun" trophy :?:
-----Greg your boat is leak proof now, right    ----- Ted you may want to bring along a hand held bilge pump just in case  :P

OR

We have a lake tour day Guided by the one an only "Tour Guide Bob" and his navigator Doc - who knows where they will take us - tour scenic Warroad in the AM  Lunch at the NW Angle :o and maybe fish some at Garden Island :P :P - It would certainly be an adventure ;) ;)

Rain outs are reserved for the Warroad Casino or a challenging game of L-C-R (or as TV calls it -"Oh did I win again!") :P

Well "Wild Bunch" there will be more posted as time draws nearer - so stay tuned to this channel for upcoming information, tales and just made up stuff.

OK "Wild Bunch" Another week has passed by and we're close to LDT (leave, date, time) for the fabulous LOW and Ken-Mar-Ke :D :D

I hear Old Fisheye is going to take some lessons from his better half @ Pepin tournament    - Sorry Old Fisheye ---but you better pay attention   cause I see Mr Stair has been practicing as well ;) 8-)

There is also a rumor going around that one of the team mates fishing out of the green Lund (not mentioning any names, Santa. Has bought up all the bandit lures at HANK's :o :o :o :o Just a rumor - no facts yet :? :? I hope his partner likes trolling :P :P :P

That's all for now

This was from Iowa Sportsman May 28th. now I am really pumped.
Went on that bus trip to a resort on lake of the woods. 6 of us caught 200 fish. My two biggest were 28 and 26 inches long. So much fun. Lodging is great and food is really good too. 8-)

OK "Wild Buch" Two weeks left to prepare for the great LOW outing ;)
Fisheye is traveling the USA in search of the most perfect outerwear for the LOW week- saw he was looking at a possible favorite candy theme this year --- must be because of the names given to Pats goats :P :P
Have not heard much from Wingding and OBD :?: they must be working on some sort of secret rigging for all the bandits OBD bought :o :o
I believe Joe and Thad are prefishing somewhere up north of the boarder to a leg up on everyone
Well as for me, I have been stuck in the office, haven't even had the boat out of the garage   the boat is still empty   no rods, no reels, no nets, no life jackets, no gulp   no juice in the batteries, no gas, no nutthin    ---I hear its the same for Boat Boy - I hope we can get ready in time
I do hope the rest of the Wild Bunch has jelled their plans for the trip ---more later

Boy am I ready to go, I have my lime green santa suit all packed with my pointy ears.
I have gone to Hank's and bought 1 on every bandit crank in stock, that way I won't have to share.
Russ Valasak has been giving me training sessions on how to net fish at Brushy Creek, I think it will help me at Lake of the Woods. I am packing extra floatasion just incase. I might super glue my sun glasses to my ears so I won't loose them this time. Saving my quarters for a wonderful trip

Wow - One week to finish preps for LOW :o :o
Hope you all have made your travel arrangements :?

We will meet on the Deck of Ken-Mar-KE at 5pm and go over any important info and of course go over the week's gaming and buy-in ($75) for those of you that have forgotten what the buy in is for the week's gaming. :?: :geek: :geek: :!:

Supper will be at 6:30PM every night and breakfast at 7AM every morning - if no has any objection - these are the time we had in place for years ;) ;) ;)
One of the nights will be fish night - we just have to decide what night usually Wednesday :D

You all should have your cabin assignments - I sent those out last month :| but you can get hold of me if you are unsure where you will reside for the week.
