I thought it was a winter fest? Winters in Iowa usually are cold!

I guess I can still help on the 24th but I'm not real crazy about working it the same weekend
as the boat show. I think Impact might have considered that when moving the event.
maybe checked with (some) walleye club.

I told Impact Outdoors Thursday after their cancellation, that ALL OUR Club Members time and resources will be involved at OUR event at the U.N.I. Dome Boat Show all day Sunday the 24th. and we would NOT be at THEIR Winterfest.

They are going to buy a big tent and stake it out on the ice somehow to allow multiple people inside.

Just to let all our Cedar Valley Walleye Club Members know I contacted Dan Oltrogge last weekend by phone and requested Impact Outdoors be a Trophy Sponsor of our Club. I also sent them our membership form and a Banquet flyer. He stated they were having a Board meeting last Monday the 11th. and would present our request. On Tuesday the 12th. he sent me an E-Mail stating their board voted it down, stating;

" We try to shy away from supporting other non profits. We like to support original projects or something we create from the ground up. "

I do know that several of our Club members have attended their banquet and bought their raffle tickets, including myself and donated hundreds of dollars to Impact Outdoors. I'm very disappointed with their decision. I find it hard to support this group if they have no interest in supporting the CEDAR VALLEY WALLEYE CLUB. Our time, talent and resources should be worth something. At the very least they should try to get our name right!

Stay Warm!
See you at the Boat Show!
