Winterfest/O.J.F.G./Banquet

This coming Sunday Feb.15th. from Noon to 3:00pm. Impact Outdoors will be hosting Family outdoor activities at the south entrance at Big Woods Lake. The Walleye Club was invited to participate with Ice fishing instruction/education, the use of electronics, different types of rods and equipment and safety on the ice. We could use a few more ice fishing club members to bring there equipment to help out. If you can participate please post here or give me a call. We plan on setting up around 10:00am.

The Walleye Club will again be sponsoring 4 Girls to attend the Iowa D.N.R. Outdoor Journey For Girls program July 7-9th. 2015 at Hickory Hills. Instruction on firearms safety/archery/fishing and other outdoor activities. Participants must be between the age of 12 and 15. This is on a first come first serve basis and it fills up quickly. If you know someone that would like to attend, let me know. I have the registration forms or you can get the info from the IA. D.N.R. website.

The Banquet is Saturday Feb. 21st. If you haven't signed up yet please do so A.S.A.P. as we will soon have to get a count for ordering the meals. Let Tony know @319-239-6875 or you may call me.

Winter fest with Impact Outdoors is still on for Sunday, cold weather or not. We will meet around 10:00Am. at Big Woods Lake South landing. I don't know what to expect for a turn out other than they have done a lot of advertising. I want to thank those Club members for committing to help with the ice fishing demonstrations. The more the merrier. Maybe we can even catch a few good fish.
