Red Wing

Post by WALLEYE1 »

My farmer friends and I just got back from Red Wing and we had a good trip staying at Evert's. Many limits were caught and everyone went home happy. All our fish were caught on sonars (blade baits). The fish just grabbed them thinking they were shad. You need a stiff rod to do this all day and my right shoulder still hurts. We snagged a lot of gizzard shad and when we cleaned the fish their bellies were full of them. There has been a lot of complaints of poor sauger populations on pool 4 but we got a lot of nice sauger but half of the fish we caught were walleye which to me says the walleye are doing very well in pool 4. Good Luck to everyone and to me if you could get up there duing the week you should be able to get a nice limit. RH
Rooster, I'm all shot to pieces, well you asked for it.
