Cedar Report

Post by handline1 »

The Cedar River is red hot!
Both in Waterloo and Cedar Falls. Lots of fish over 25 inch with all the 17 to 20 inch males you want. Find a current break and fish just on the current side with a 1/8 jig and brown and orange ring worm tipped with a leach for the big females. Fish the inside of the break with a 1/2 ounce jig with a green bucktail tipped with a dead shinner for all the smaller fish you can catch. Smallmouth bass are bitting as well, had three over 20 and many in the upper teen's. Only had one northern, but it went 39 inch!
Now is the time to take time off and get you Cedar River PB fish!

Thanks for the info Matt. OBD and I went to Gilbertyille Tues and did exactly as you advised in your post. OBD got a 3#er but that was it for us. Good report!

Come on Eagle. You have to read between the lines on Matt's report. All good presentations. Take some leave some? Something worked for OBD's nice 3#er. No april fool there.
