Colbert Mille Lacs Family Vacation

I spent the week of the 4th up at Mille Lacs for a family vacation. Fishing was very good and the weather was perfect. During the day we pulled spinners on bottom bouncers on the mud flats and in the evenings we jigged & slip bobbered on the gravel. Caught more keeper fish 18"-20" than I thought we would have, but we did not get into many fish over the 24" mark. On the last day due to strong winds we pulled spinners over the tops of weeds with very good success and the only boat within sight, which makes it even better. We stayed at Appeldorn's Sunset Bay Resort on the east side and I would strongly recommend it for a family vacation. Great beach for the kids to play, lounge chairs for Mama to get a sun tan, and a lake full of walleye for Dad! Very family friendly and super clean and nice! Here are some pics!
