Old Fisheye Reports on Lake of the Woods

Nice fish Bill, Was fishing restricted to 4 mile bay? Looks like a lot of ice yet...Did you guys hear what happened on Lake Milac?

The ice pic was taken Sunday south end of Pine Island, it was GONE from there Monday. Eleven of us took our limits home, plus fish for dinner every night but steak night. Fishing was best at 6-6 1/2 ' with many 19"-28". A lot of catch and release just to stay out fishing. I got one northern 36" and one over 40" and 2 sturgeon were brought to our boat, biggest was 46". My bait of choice was a unpainted 1/4 oz. jig with plastics ( stewarts blue or white) or tipped with a minnow, no trailer. They were slamming it with a few misses.
