Multi-Species/Points Tournament

Post by Limit »

The Multi-Species/Points Tournament on September 15th launching out of Noble's Island on Pool 10 will be two tournaments in one. We will be conducting both the Multi-Species Tournament, as well as, our September Points Tournament. Anglers have multiple options with these two tournaments. Anglers can fish both tournaments at the same time or one or the other.

If fishing just the Multi-Species your entry fee will be $25/angler with no entry fee for anglers under 16 years of age. You are allowed over two anglers per boat and may fish any pool on the Mississippi River.

If fishing both the Multi-Species and Points Tournaments your entry fee will be $25/angler and no entry fee if under 16 for the Multi-Species side. Also, $40/angler for all ages for the Points side. Thus, a total entry fee of $65 if over 16 and $40 is under 16. If fishing the Points Tournament you must be a CVWC member and all of the 2012 CVWC Tournaments Rules apply! Examples: You are not allowed more than 2 anglers per boat, may only fish Pool 10, and all walleye/sauger/saugeye must be over 15". As far as weighing fish, each angler in the boat may weigh one fish for each category of the Multi-Species Tournament, as well as, their combined best 5 walleye/sauger/saugeye. Only one angler per team will be able to weigh the biggest walleye/sauger/saugeye of the teams basket for the Multi-Species, but both anglers will be able to weigh a different walleye/sauger/saugeye from their basket.

If fishing just the Points Tournament all of the normal tournament rules apply! Entry fee is $40/angler and we will still be doing a big fish pot for the teams in the Points Tournament!

There will be a meal after the weigh-in for all of the tournament anglers!

WARNING!!! This is going to be a very busy tournament for myself, the tournament staff, and the catering crew. WE WILL NOT TOLERATE ANY ANGLERS TRYING TO BEND ANY RULES!!! This is the first time for hosting the Multi-Species with a Points Tournament and there are going to be some unforeseen issues. If you think you are bending or breaking any rules you probably are and just don't do it. This is suppose to be fun and an enjoyable event for the club and if you don't have that attitude stay at home!

If you have any questions please post a reply so we can get things ironed out beforehand.

For anglers in both tournaments!

Each angler from a team will be able to weigh one walleye/sauger/saugeye from their basket for the Multi-Species Tournament, but not the same fish.
