For all of you that run a Terrova I have a few quetions for you all.
Do you hear the transducer ticking at all when running?
Does your head unit shake at all when running?
I'm on new unit number three and still have problems and about out of warranty.

I have had two Terrova's - 1st I converted to IPILOT -- no trouble ever and ran with foot control as well as remote
Second IPILOT/Terrova bought with new boat - no trouble with ticking and headshaking , both units have ben very reliable.

One more thing --when I converted my Terrova to IPilot all I had to do was to change the head and plug in a couple of connector wires.
Take out four screws on the underneath side of the head, gently lift off head and check the connectors --they may have vibrated loose.

Matt i don't hear any ticking with mine or Jims and if you are hearing some it must be load 
but i could feel vibration a little on Jims but only on high. Better go for a new one.

Wow, Old Fisheye here.
I checked out my old one and my new one and I thought I heard a Woodpecker in there
but it was just sand in my livewell. I also found some dead minnows.
I did figure out how to fix your problem though..... .....Don't turn it on..... 
Ever since I sold that Big Red Lund I been catchen fish like crazy.....
I think putting a lure on the hook helped.

Matt I'm very happy with mine. I think the high speed vibration that Tony talked about with mine could be from the way it is mounted on the front of the boat. Not as tight and secure as I'd like but I'm trying to correct that. I asked about extended warenty when I bought mine. I called the minn. co(johnson motors)and the guy said if no trouble in first two years not to get it. However if you are having trouble with one during warrentied period and are not satisfied it will preform after your warrenty is out look into the extended plan before your warr. runs out. The only catch is it's not backed by johnson motors or the factory. Its a outsorced company. So I'd look real close at the prices and coverage. Maybe call the the company with your complaints. 2nd thought after reading---Eagle--good name for your boat-- haven't seen it on the wapsi-cedar-shell rock -any local lakes-or miss. river or even in your shed. DO YOU REALLY HAVE A BOAT?????????? Wingding.
