Just Venting

I am a tried and true Hawkeye and as I watch Minn. slaughter Iowa again I think of UNI. Why can't Ia. play defense at a reasonable level? UNI proves even if you can't score very much a shut down defence can win games. I know Ia. is a young team, to say the least, but they don't seem to know the concept of defence. Is this coaching or just a lack of talent to play defence? Go Panthers in the NCAA. RH

I commend you on being able to even watch Iowa mens basketball! I haven't been able to watch the hawks for the last five years or so. All I do when I watch them is cuss and yell at the TV and feel depressed. I tell myself that, "this is suppose to be entertaining so why do I sit here and put myself through this agony." I have started watching Iowa Wrestling and it is a big difference going from the worst in the Big Ten to the best in the nation!

I too have watched a little wrestling in the big matches they have. I've turned my attention to UNI basketball for now, you have to be excided for this team. I hope they can win a game or two in NCAA. I just feel pity for Iowa basketball. I was able to watch most of their games because that is just what you do when times are good or bad. RH

People wanted Coach Alford out. The last I new he has his team ranked in the top ten. Iowa has some kids with talent, but not enough depth. Any good recruits coming in? For now, GO PANTHERS!!!
