Pool 9

Post by thalweg87 »

Fished Genoa today. Ramp and river wide open. Lots of fog. Caught several eyes/saugers, 1 pike and 1 perch. Most fish we caught and saw caught were on the small side. Most were caught dragging jigs up or down stream in 12-15 ft. In the morning there were about 25 people ice fishing Desoto Bay. No idea how much ice or if they were catching anything.

Talked to my cousin Rick today who fishes desoto a lot. Great fishing lately. Nice crappies and perch and eyes. He got a 26 incher yesterday. Had 3 guys helping him land it on 3# line and swedish pimpel. Got 2 other keepers also. For some reason no gills in the area. Good ice at 6 in. or better. Jim D.
